Street photography holds a special place in my heart, although it wasn’t my initial focus in the world of photography. My lens was first drawn to the serenity of wildlife and expansive landscapes, far from the hustle of city streets.

Being somewhat introverted, the idea of candidly photographing strangers in public spaces initially felt daunting. Recently, a friend new to photography shared their hesitation with me, saying:

“I love capturing people, but it feels strange photographing strangers on the streets during my solo photo walks.”

Drawing from my own experiences, here are some tips to help you navigate the world of street photography ethically and comfortably, allowing you to embrace this art form with confidence!

1. Pick a Spot, Frame, and Wait:

Select a spot that intrigues you, whether it’s a charming alleyway or a lively street corner. Set up your frame and wait patiently for the perfect moment. This approach allows you to capture genuine scenes without intruding on anyone’s privacy.
